1. Dual-licensing model
Prism-Shield is an Insight IT Solutions LLC product with an Apache-2.0 open core and a paid commercial SKU.

This addendum does not re-license the Apache-2.0 source. It clarifies how paid SKUs relate to the open core.
2. What you may do under Apache-2.0
- Install, modify, and run the open-source gateway code (
prism-shieldon PyPI). - Build internal tools and ship products that depend on this library.
- Contribute improvements under the same Apache-2.0 terms.
3. What requires a commercial agreement
- Redistribution of InsightITS-branded enterprise wheels that embed proprietary C++ gate binaries (when delivered as a paid SKU).
- Hosted HITL review SaaS / managed SOC handoff (when offered).
- Contractual SLA, indemnity, or SOC2 evidence packs provided by Insight ITS.
- Use of Insight ITS trademarks in a way that implies certification or partnership without permission.
4. Stripe Team / Business Buy — what you are purchasing
Self-serve Stripe checkout for Team ($299/mo) and Business ($999/mo) purchases a commercial plan entitlement: Verified Execution quota guidance, commercial support identity, and SKU rights described on the product page. It is not a claim that hosted human-in-the-loop reviewer seats are live.
- Hosted HITL seats: Coming for Team+ (waitlist / design partner via Soft CTA SHIELD).
- Local / self-hosted review path: Already in the open core (escalation queue + self-hosted review UI).
- Enterprise: Custom contract at $35k–$120k+/yr — email subject SHIELD (no Stripe Buy).
- Overage: Stripe subscriptions are flat monthly today. Usage above included Verified Executions is billed manually or on contract until automated metering ships — Soft CTA SHIELD.
5. Dashboard license key
After payment (or admin issue), Insight ITS may email a license key and show it in
dashboard.html#prism-shield when you log in with the same email.
Set PRISM_SHIELD_LICENSE_KEY in your environment for ops convenience.
Honesty: The current pip install "prism-shield==0.2.1" package does
not enforce DRM against that key. The key is proof of purchase / support identity unless
package-side enforcement is added in a later release.
6. Control-mapped ≠ certified
Documentation that maps gateway capabilities to illustrative Trust Services Criteria is control-mapped, not a CPA attestation. Prism-Shield is not SOC 2 certified today.
7. Fees, renewals, and cancellation
Fees shown at checkout apply. Team and Business renew monthly via Stripe until cancelled. Manage billing from the customer portal after login. Digital purchases follow the site Terms of Service except where this EULA or a signed order form states otherwise.
